The organizers are pleasure to welcome you in the 14th Rio Symposium on Atomic Spectrometry!  The symposium will be held on 2nd to 7th April 2017 in Hotel Senac Ilha do Boi localized at Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil.

The Rio Symposium was founded in 1988 by Dr. Adilson Curtius and Dr. Bernhard Welz with the idea to give an opportunity to the scientists from Latin America, including students, to join with renowned scientists from all parts of the world. The first two Symposia were realized in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and next the editions were realized in many countries of Latin American as Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico and Chile.

The RIO SYMPOSIUM ON ATOMIC SPECTROMETRY (RIO SYMPOSIUM) occurs in each two years and attracts approximately 300 participants and many topics are discussed as atomic absorption spectrometry; optical emission spectrometry; plasma mass spectrometry; LIBS; x- ray fluorescence spectrometry; chemical vapor generation; speciation analysis; sample preparation.

The 14th RIO SYMPOSIUM ON ATOMIC SPECTROMETRY aims to provide a wide platform for academicians, professionals, fellow researchers and postgraduate participants to interact and share ideas, experience and expertise in atomic spectrometry related fields, and provide opportunities to discuss recent and new findings.  In addition, RIO SYMPOSIUM 2017 aims to create opportunities for networking and research collaboration among participants nationally, regionally and internationally.

It is the first time that Rio Symposium will be in Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil. The local organizing committee is scheduling, besides a notable scientific program, many social activities for the participants in way that you have the opportunity to appreciate the beauties and enchantment of Vitoria Island, knowing as City of the Sun.  Come to Rio Symposium and have the opportunity to visit Espírito Santo, a state surrounded by beautiful beaches and pleasant mountains.
